1) Fully supports Windows 7 platform

As technology is ever evolving so is Merlin, and our new release is now fully Windows 7 compatible. Merlin now enhances the technology created by Microsoft and uses it to make the whole process easier to use and understand, with a new help system and user guide that comes with every purchase of Merlin software.

Windows 7 has been designed to be simpler and easier to use with better ways to find and manage files. It's designed for faster and more reliable performance, and is less memory hungry than previous versions allowing you to get the best out of your PC.

Merlin’s full range of hardware including touch screen retail terminals are fully Windows 7 tested and ready with Windows 7 pre-installed and configured.

2) Easier to install

With our new installer on Windows 7, it is now even easier to install with our new installer that will take you through every step, quickly and easily to get you up and running straight away!

3) XP pro compatible

Don’t worry if you haven’t upgraded to Windows 7, Merlin 7 also supports Windows XP Pro with all the same new features, the only difference being that the look and feel of it will be Windows XP and not the new Windows 7 look and feel.

So when you purchase the new software you will get all of the features no matter what Windows version you are on, you’re guaranteed to have the most up to date version released.

4) Fresh, modern look and feel

Not only have we updated the efficiency and functionality of our award winning software, but we have also changed the way it looks too. We have modernised the look and feel of the software adding new icons in the back office to give it a fresh and clean look and made it easier to use from both the EPOS to the back office. Merlin Ecommerce is an on-line shopping basket and Ecommerce solution that offers a comprehensive range of features, allowing quick access and easy setup without compromising functionality, the system allows you to have your shop 'open' 24 hours a day 7-days per week! You have the stock, why not make it available at all times?

Once installed, store contents, pricing, taxes, postage and all other aspects of stock and general store control can be carried out on-line through the administration console, giving users maximum functionality whilst maintaining focus on flexibility and ease-of-use.

Interfacing with a wide array of payment gateways, Merlin Ecommerce integrates well with Merlin retail management software, offering a complete on and off-line package for retailers and wholesalers alike. It links directly into Merlin Sales Order Processing for complete control of all 'customer not present' sales transactions - click on the completed order, print out the dispatch note and then Pick Pack and Ship! What could be easier?

6) News enhancements

We have made improvements and enhancements to our News module following feedback from customers. To make life easier, a new screen to speed up News Customer Balance Enquiries and Payments has been added to the EPOS. The Customer Statement has been modified to allow News statements to be printed and new reports for Shelf Removals and Publication by Customers have been developed.

7) Maintain Stock Category

We have designed and created a new screen that specifically control the stock maintenance. This will allow you to maintain your stock categories, brands and how they are assigned to the stock. Our Merlin Software will let you add more categories, delete unused ones and also replace categories on your stock file.
